We took a drive to two of our children homes this morning and I took some pictures along the way. I don't remember this home...I was just a baby when my family lived here at 1518 Morgan Ave. LaGrange Park....but comparing it to pictures from the past....it sure hasn't changed much.
I didn't know we lived so close to the forest preserves...our home was only a few houses away from a park and the entrance to the forest preserve. Maybe John and Jim remember that.
These next two pictures are where Oma and Opa's house was at 3505 Madison in Bellwood.
Opps...didn't know this was turned and I didn't turn it before I posted it....it was the old YMCA in LaGrange....we were at a stop light and didn't get a chance to take a picture of the sign that said the YMCA moved to a new location in 2007
Then on to 4901 Lawn Ave. in Western Springs
I didn't realize that the house actually faced 49th St. and Lawn Ave was on the west side of the house....did that get changed over the years?
This is the house right across the street from us on "Lawn Ave".
Another view of 4901 Lawn Ave.
A side view of the house.
These are some homes that are just down the street. Many new big homes have been built on the street we once lived on.

I sure didn't think that was boring. That is neat to see your old homes... And how cool to live right by the forest preserve.
Actually I thought that was really interesting. I love the older Chicago suburbs. Some of the tear downs these days are too over the top...but amazing to look at.
